We rolled out shopping campaigns across Google Ads & Meta Ads networks in order to start driving traffic to a brand new online shop.

Generating an average return on ad spend (ROAS) of 5.1x, we saw sales from all across Australia.

Over time we grew organic website traffic through SEO to over 6,000 organic clicks, tapping into never before utilised channels.

Our Task

MBL Food & Packaging was lacking an internal marketing department having focused on building a strong sales team.

Working alongside this sales force, we worked with their existing assets to build a digital advertising campaign around their new online store, increase Google search market share, and establish a consistent social media presence with engaging content. 

Methodology

In order to establish a broad online presence in the advertising space for their online store, a Google Ads Search campaign and a Google Search campaign was launched coupled with supporting Facebook Ads as well as a comprehensive retargeting ads strategy.

The aim was to generate both new B2B leads for the business while also generating sales for their online store for retail customers across Australia.

In order to feed more users into the advertising funnel, we put in place an organic traffic SEO strategy for various products, as well as broad industry terms such as “food packaging”, and activity specific terms including “sausage making kits”

To support this acquisition of retail customers, we established a consistent social media presence to highlight company achievements, celebrating staff anniversaries and client awards, while also offering product education.

Measuring Success & Outcomes

Measuring success for an e-commerce store is incredbily easy, as we’re able to measure every sale and attribute these to their relevant source, be it SEO, social media, or any of their advertising campaigns.

We saw incredibly results with their organic search ranking, breaking into keywords they’d not been found for before.

We achieved these results by not only targeting on creating new content, but also by focusing on taking traffic away from competing businesses.

Lastly, we also saw a very healthy average return on ad spend of 5x with sales coming in from all across Australia, for a business typically only selling to the local market.
